Blasket Island view to Slea Head

The second in a series of photographs looking out from the Blasket island off the coast of Kerry in Ireland. A thriving community lived here until the fifties, following a way of life that had changed little in hundreds of years. The island attracts thousands of visitors each year and the stunning colours and clear waters are part of this. The main land (Slea head) can be seen in the background. The waters are full of grey seals and 10% of the worlds population of these marvellous animals live on these coasts.
